About us

How it started

We were both working hard at our jobs, in locations all over the world. Staying in tiny flats or living out of hotels, often separated for months at a time. We joked that one day we would run away from it all and meet on ‘The Croft’. Over time that joke became a dream, then an aspiration. Now it’s our reality!

With neither of us coming from farming backgrounds, we’ve had to do our own research and gain experience as we go. But that same blank slate has empowered us to establish our own bespoke farming practice.

At Outlaw Croft, we are trailblazing a new path as we cultivate the earth, cherish nature, nurture our children, and strengthen connections within our community. Join us and experience the unapologetic rewards of our harvest.

Outlaws, really?

Well ok, not really. We follow the rules, do the paperwork and even pay our taxes, just like everyone else. However, we do have a unique perspective on agriculture and the stewardship of the land that sets us apart from intensive large-scale farming industries. Here, we measure our successes not by the sheer number of kilograms our cattle weigh or how many eggs per year our ducks produce, but rather on the quality of life that our animals experience, the richness of biodiversity we can foster, and the innovative ways we can begin the vital work of reconnecting people to their food sources. This approach reflects our deep-seated belief that sustainable farming practices can elevate both the ecosystem and human health. Through this commitment, we aim to cultivate not only the soil but also a community that values and understands the intricate relationships between food production, nature, and our wider environment, recognizing that our responsibility extends beyond the farm and into the heart of society itself.
